HubSpot's Latest Product Updates: CRM Efficiency, AI-Powered Content, and Smarter Data

Three Key Feature Call Outs

Clean Data: Automatic Formatting on Property Entry

>>This feature is available to all hubs and all tiers.

With the new automatic formatting feature, your CRM will clean and validate property data as it’s entered—whether manually or through import. This ensures your records are consistent and clean, right from the start.

Why focus here? Manual entry errors, formatting issues, and inconsistent data can slow down processes and impact reporting accuracy. This update eliminates that headache by applying formatting rules automatically.

Why Does It Matter?

Maintaining high-quality data is critical for accurate reporting, efficient workflows, and smooth customer interactions. With automatic formatting:

  • Less manual cleanup – Invalid characters and formatting errors are corrected automatically
  • Improved data integrity – Ensures consistent formatting across properties
  • Reduced admin overhead – Saves time for admins and users who previously had to correct errors manually

How Does It Work?

This feature supports single- and multi-line text properties and can be configured in your CRM settings:

  1. Navigate to Objects > Settings > Properties
  2. Select the property and click Edit Property > Rules
  3. In the Allowed Characters section, choose:
    • Allow numbers only, or
    • Don’t allow special characters
  4. Toggle on ‘Automatically remove disallowed characters’ to enable automatic formatting

Note: This formatting feature is not yet applied to data entered through Mobile, Forms, or Workflows during this beta stage. Only via imports or manual dat entry.

Power Up Your CRM: Faster Property Creation on the Index Page

>>This feature is available to all hubs and all tiers.

Tired of jumping through hoops to create properties in your CRM? The new streamlined side panel makes property creation faster, simpler, and more intuitive—right from the CRM index page.

Why focus here? Creating properties used to feel clunky—navigating away from your work, clicking through multiple settings pages, and losing context along the way. This new streamlined approach transforms that into a smooth, in-context experience, directly from the index page table.

Why Does It Matter?

When you can create properties directly in the index table:

  • Efficiency soars – No need to break your flow or dig through settings.
  • Context is key – You’re creating the property while seeing exactly how it fits into your current table layout.
  • Momentum continues – Quick actions mean fewer interruptions and more progress.

How Does It Work?

To get started, make sure you have the ‘Edit property settings’ permission activated — this feature is only available to users with this permission set.

Here’s how it works:

  • Go to the object’s index page in your CRM.
  • Click on a column header to open the contextual menu.
  • In the menu, select:
    • “Add” to insert a new column to the right
    • “Remove” to delete the selected column
    • “Create new property” to open the new streamlined side panel

Note: This experience supports creating text, number, and enumeration properties only.
