HubSpot Agent Hub: 3 Real-World Use Cases & How to Get Started

Written by Allie McDevitt | 9/3/26

Scaling with AI requires a clear strategy, clean data, and connected tools.

HubSpot Agent Hub simplifies this by letting teams deploy native agents and custom agents in one central platform. Here’s how it works and how to get started.

What is HubSpot Agent Hub?

HubSpot Agent Hub is the central platform for deploying and managing AI agents and agentic tools across your business. It helps organizations embed AI into everyday business operations in tandem with traditional automation.

There are two core ways teams engage with Agent Hub:

  • Agent Marketplace: Prebuilt AI agents that teams can quickly deploy for common business needs.
  • Custom Builder: Tools for building custom agents tailored to your organization’s specific use cases directly inside HubSpot Agent Hub.

What tools are available in Agent Hub?

Agent Hub brings together AI agents and tools that help teams across marketing, sales, service, and operations. These include specialized agents and tools for specific business tasks, along with broader AI capabilities such as Breeze Assistant.

How are businesses using Agent Hub?

Organizations use Agent Hub for every day operational tasks such as prospecting, customer support, content creation, data management, and custom business workflows. These use cases can be powered by HubSpot’s out-of-the-box native agents or custom-built agents tailored to specific internal operations.

We've highlighted a few examples of agents our team has helped clients deploy:

CUSTOM

Ticket Routing Agent

Handling a volume of over 3,000 incoming support tickets per month in addition to a complex set of routing rules left our client buried in manual labor and unable to measure operational efficiency across their service organization.

To solve this, we built a custom Ticket Routing Agent in Agent Hub that reviews incoming help desk tickets, analyzes unstructured data across emails and automatically assigns the right category and subcategory to ensure tickets get routed to the correct team. It also validates each assignment before updating the CRM and adds a note explaining its reasoning. This automation now saves the client hours of manual categorization every month while equipping leadership with the reporting required to eliminate bottlenecks and scale service operations.

CUSTOM

Executive Reporting Agent

Building a qualitative, value-driven narrative for quarterly board meetings historically required hours of manual metric analysis from our client’s Chief Revenue Officer. We built a custom Executive Reporting Agent in Agent Hub to turn that raw data into executive-ready insights automatically.

The agent pulls live deal data directly from HubSpot and analyzes it using specific guidelines tuned to the CRO's reporting style. It then writes a context-aware first draft that matches the executive’s preferred talk track while staying completely accurate to the CRM numbers. This solution saves hours of executive labor every quarter, giving leadership an immediate head start so they can focus on high-level strategy.

CUSTOM

Account Mapping Agent

Building complex account hierarchies required significant manual research for our client, making it difficult to understand total addressable market coverage. To streamline this research, we built a custom Account Mapping Agent in Agent Hub to construct these multi-tiered structures.

The agent analyzes an organization's website, identifies its underlying business units, locations, and buyer groups, and builds the entire account hierarchy directly inside HubSpot. Ultimately, this build gives reps an immediate, accurate picture of an organization's entire ecosystem and enables our client to scale prospecting efficiently while uncovering deeper account opportunities across their territory.

How do businesses get started with Agent Hub?

To get started with Agent Hub, establish a strong data foundation, configure your AI settings and business context, map the business workflows agents will support, and start with focused use cases before expanding their scope.

1. Set up your data foundation

AI is only as good as the data it can access. Before deploying agents, prioritize data hygiene, clean up your CRM architecture, and make sure your integrations are working properly so agents can access accurate, up-to-date information.

2. Configure your AI and business context

Set up your administrative permissions, AI settings, and guardrails. Then give agents the context they need to represent your business, including your brand, products and services, ideal customers, and relevant company knowledge.

3. Map your end-to-end process

Understand how your workflows connect across teams and systems. Agents shouldn't operate in isolation. Mapping these processes helps you determine where an agent should act, what information it needs, and when human oversight is required.

4. Start with focused, low-risk use cases

Don't try to automate everything at once. Start with a focused use case where the potential impact is clear and the risk is manageable. Review the agent's performance, refine its instructions and guardrails, and expand its responsibilities as you build confidence.
